Treasurer’s Report
- MCFC Giving Day (31 March - home to Sunderland): following a representation by Paul Lake, the branch donated £200 to the City In The Community Foundation. In return, the branch received two tickets for the Sunderland game (used by MSB Kirsty Bennett and her father), the branch name flashed around the pitch perimeter via LED, an “action photo” of a City player alongside the branch name was supposed to be taken although this has not been received yet and we received a promise of new Legends for the 2012/13 season event.
Match Tickets: Following an MCFC Supporter’s Club ballot, the branch received the two requested tickets for Newcastle away on 6 May. After a further ballot, the branch application for QPR home seats on 13 May was scaled back and four were received - all successful and unsuccessful applicants have been advised.
City Player Of The Year: 27% response rate (25 votes from 90 members) to date (this went up during the meeting). E-mail reminder of 27 April deadline sent to members yet to vote.
MCFC Supporter’s Club Annual Dinner - Saturday 28 April: two MSBs - Mark O’Hara and Colin Oliver - attending. Tickets posted out to them this week.

JJ2 said that we needed to review the system for the new season and asked for feedback. IH said he was concerned that not all members could get to meetings due to them living further away and therefore missed out. JJ2 said that the league table shows this is not a factor given Pete Hinley is at the top. Away games allow members to still do well, as does the Legends night. We will have even more southern away games next season too. We agreed to use the number of points collected at the end of this season to decide on any applications up to the end of September and start a new league table which will dictate ticket requests from 1 October. This will give us sufficient time to hear about blue membership prices etc. The first points for next season will be for attendance at the AGM.
Action – JJ2 to remind members of the points levels and seek any further feedback

Home fixture
- IH had investigated costs - £140 for hotel, match ticket, stadium tour and then train ticket will be on top
- Most games are likely to be on a Sunday now
- If we choose to make the fixture QPR which is the last game at home this season we will probably need some advance planning
Action – IH to put ideas for the home fixture to the next meeting
AOB
- PP raised the idea of a sit down dinner. JJ said we wouldn’t want to detract from legends night or the summer barbecue. PP said it could be at the club or a pub, perhaps an awards night or end of season event to toast a trophy. Those present agreed that a trip to somewhere like the Crown in Horsted Keynes in May would be good
- JJ2 suggested that we should pay for more membership cards for St Francis so that more people can sign in branch members. DB, IH and RC agreed to become members.
Action – PP to consider options for sit down dinner and provide JJ with an e-mail to circulate to members; RC to arrange membership at St Francis for the three volunteers
